Our Story

At Toku Anahera Creations we are a Whanau that creates contemporary maori Korowai, arts and crafts with the highest standard.

Everything is hand made with Aroha (love).

The inspiration for our craft came about after the loss of my daughter Tamara to suicide. At my darkest point she left me with the vision of the Korowai.

So the day came and I started to create my korowai of aroha. At first I hand stitched every feather on, I stitched every stitch in our taniko, with all my love, thinking of her all the time and now I want to share my love through my korowai and other crafts that I do with others.

We here at Toku Anahera Creations are a Whanau who have a vision to create hand made contemporary pieces for He Tangata (The People).

Our creations are made with the utmost Whakapehapeha (Pride) and Aroha (love).
